The Role
Senior Data Engineer to design and build robust data pipelines, storage solutions, and processing systems for high-frequency market data. You’ll ensure our data infrastructure is fast, reliable, and scalable as we expand our analytical capabilities.
Responsibilities
Design and implement real-time pipelines processing thousands of events per second; build ETL/ELT workflows integrating multiple sources; architect data storage using BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, and Memorystore; optimize analytics using Polars or Pandas; implement data validation and monitoring; and build APIs for secure and performant data access.
Required Skills
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (or similar), strong Python and SQL skills, expertise in Polars/Pandas, and knowledge of streaming architectures, real-time systems, and data modeling. Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field required.
Nice to Have
Experience with financial market data or time-series systems, Rust programming knowledge, Infrastructure as Code, GitHub Actions, cloud certifications (e.g., GCP Data Engineer). Additional exposure to multiple programming languages (3+) is a plus for handling diverse data pipelines and integrations.
